Fitness and Nutrition Management
This programme is in collaboration with Apollo UR Life - the wellness center, will be introduced in the academic year 2022-23.
With lifestyle changes, the need to be aware of the right diet and fitness regime is increasing. This programme aspires to give an in-depth understanding of self-management strategies.
The practical component will be delivered by the experts at Apollo UR Life and theory classes will be held at
St. Francis campus. After the successful completion of the course the students will be equipped with the necessary skills to adopt a balanced lifestyle.
Programme Objectives
- This course is designed for students who would like to learn about both fitness and wellness as it pertains to lifestyle changes.
- Our focus will be on developing habits for a healthy lifestyle and the positive changes that occur as a result of adopting
these habits. Self-management strategies are presented to guide students in planning their fitness activities.
- The class is based on the HELP philosophy (H is for health; E is for everyone; L is for lifetime lifestyle change and P is for personal).
Programme Outcome
- At the completion of the course, the student will have learned the components of physical fitness and developed the skills necessary to maintain an appropriate fitness level.
- The student should appreciate the benefits from participating in aerobic and muscular conditioning activities and value its contribution to a healthy lifestyle.
- The student will be encouraged to continue to participate in physical fitness activities to maintain their personal standard of physical fitness.
Eligibility Criteria
- Male / Female Graduates from any recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks.
- Candidates who have completed their Bachelors education through Distance mode are not eligible.
- Basic Computer skills are a prerequisite for the course.

- Duration of the course: 10 Months
Timings of the sessions
- Classes - 3 days/week (Thursday, Friday & Saturday)
- Theory at SFC : 8:30 A.M - 10: 30 A.M (Saturday - Online Class)
- Practical sessions at Apollo URLife - 11:30 A.M - 1:30 P.M (Thurs - Sat)
