Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
Upon completion of these courses the student would
- PSO1. Students develop a practical understanding of the concepts, Principles, theories and models of Mass Communication and Journalism.
- PSO2. Students design, write, edit and report for campus Newspaper, magazine, journals, research papers and research proposals as a team and also as an individual.
- PSO3. Foster skills in writing compelling content that presents well-organized facts in professional language for News, Documentary, PSA, fictional story, dialogue writing and other writing sequences for Ads, serials and films, understand current film making technologies and keeping up with the advancements.
- PSO4. Identify mass problems and effectively design PR, Adverting campaigns, media and marketing strategies, that will provide solutions to societal problems.
- PSO5. Create content for Radio, Television and Social Media platforms, develop creative writing and thinking skills, to make an identity of their own in the media industry.
- PSO6. Practice moral and ethical Journalism with a profound understanding of Media Laws, social sciences, cultural studies and Communication theories.
- PSO7. Attain Practical knowledge in Print, Radio, Television and in Digital Media using advanced technology helpful for research and placement.
- PSO8. Develop rural Communication strategies for backward and marginalized sections by reaching them through outreach programmes, which will help in understanding the target audience needs, communicate effectively with them to bring the change required for society.
- PSO9. Acquire an understanding on the practical working conditions in the field of Print Electronic and Digital Media through Internships, Research and Field visits.
