MSc Nutrition and Dietetics

  • PO1. Develops an understanding of scientific theory principles and perspectives in sciences by critical thinking.

  • PO3. Communicates effectively, comprehends knowledge, writes effective reports, designs documentation and makes effective presentations.

Applies ethical principles and is committed to professional ethics, responsibilities in the field of research, is able to design, analyse, interpret data and find solutions for complex problems by applying right tools. This study provides an excellent bridge between undergraduate study and Ph.D. research.
  • PO6. Realizes and promotes environmental sustainability through various eco- friendly measures that encourage judicious use of resources.

Upon completion of these courses the student would

  • PSO1. To Impart understanding of the concepts of biochemistry, food chemistry and food microbiology .
  • PSO2. To enable the students to learn the methods of assessing human nutritional requirements, nutritional assessment and diet planning .
  • PSO3. To apply theoretical concepts in laboratory setting as per standard methods .
  • PSO4. understand the applications of nutritional sciences in clinical interventions, communication for health promotion, food service management, food science and processing.
  • PSO5. To acquire skills to undertake systematic research in the area of food science and nutrition .
