. Postgraduate studies boosts the self directed career progress and outline the career paths. It improves the ability to tackle complex and challenging assessment tasks and helps in lifelong learning to be globally competent.
PO8
. Takes up responsibilities in production, quality testing, designing and marketing which contribute to the growth of industry and thus increases employability.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
PSO1
. To understand some fundamental aspects of Organic chemistry; they are exposed to basic reaction mechanism and stereochemistry of organic molecules.
PSO2
. Acquire knowledge about bonding in metal complexes, inorganic reaction mechanisms, symmetry elements and apply chemical tools, models towards the stereochemistry of molecules.
PSO3
. Acquire and demonstrate competency in laboratory safety. Develops routine and Specialized Chemistry laboratory skills applicable to research and industries
PSO4
. Acquire knowledge of structure of Organic molecules, stereochemistry mechanism of the reactions and apply them to develop Human / environment friendly products or green processes.
PSO5
. Get familiarized with principles and techniques of various basic and analytical Instruments and able to design and carry out scientific experiments as well as accurately record and analyze the results of such experiments.
PSO6
. Understand chemical properties of compounds and describe their behavior using theories of physics and mathematical computations which predicts hidden information about materials and processes.
PSO7
. Illustrate the relevance and significance of Organic Chemistry to Pharmaceutical sciences and clarify basic principles of synthesis and Mechanism of action of drug molecules.
PSO8
. Gains proficiency in related disciplines such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nanotechnology etc and will be able to function as a member of an interdisciplinary problem solving team.
PSO9
. Apply spectro analytical techniques for the structural identification of organic molecules and use Chem-draw and cheminformatics tools for interpretation of chemical data and gains expertise in Computational Chemistry.
PSO10
. Appreciate the central role of Chemistry in our society and use this as a basis for ethical behavior in issues facing chemists including an understanding of safe handling of chemicals, environmental issues and key issues facing our society in energy, health and medicine
