St. Francis College is committed to academic excellence and invites students to become part of its dynamic and inclusive learning environment. The admission process is entirely online, designed to be clear, efficient, and student-friendly. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the eligibility criteria and prospectus before applying. Admission Guidelines for UG Programs

UG Admissions

  • Applying to a Programme does not guarantee admission into the same.
  • Admission is strictly based on merit and limited to the sanctioned strength.
  • An email will be sent to provisionally selected students.
  • Admission for BMS is strictly based on Merit, Written Test & Group Discussion.

Issue of Application Forms & Prospectus

  • Application Forms and Prospectus will be available online (refer to www.sfc.ac.in).
  • Admissions for B.A. (History / Public Administration / Political Science) are done through Degree Online Service Telangana (DOST). Candidates admitted through DOST are only eligible to avail Government Scholarships.

Minority Category

It is mandatory for all UG Catholic / Christian students and parents to attend the meeting on scheduled dates (details available on the college website).

Admission will be given to students only after the parents’ meeting.

Documents to bring for verification:

  • Baptism certificate (mandatory for Catholics) or letter from pastor.
  • Aadhar cards (student & parent).
  • Application form fee receipt.

Note

  • Please ensure payment of the College fees is done within the date and time notified.
  • Failing to pay the fees on time will result in cancellation of admission.
  • Equivalency Certificate from the Board of Intermediate Education (TS) is mandatory for candidates from boards other than Telangana, CBSE & ICSE. The admissions of such candidates will be cancelled if they fail to submit the equivalency certificate at the time of physical verification of certificates.
  • At the time of verification, if any malpractice/misuse is detected in the certificates or later during the course, admission will be cancelled without prior notice.

Eligibility Criteria for Reservation Categories

SC / ST & BC

Community, Nativity & Date of Birth Certificate for SC, ST, BC candidates as per G.O Ms. No.58, Social Welfare (J) Dept, dated 12.05.1997 issued by MRO should be submitted to the college at the time of admission.

Sports / Cultural / NCC

Provisional selection of the candidate for the sports or cultural quota shall be made in the following order:

  • Category 1: Representing the Nation
  • Category 2: Representing the State
  • Category 3: Representing the College at State / National / International Level

Candidates securing admission under this quota must give an undertaking to continue representing the college in the respective activities.

Physically Challenged

Candidates seeking admission shall submit a Medical Certificate from the appropriate Medical Authority as prescribed in the Government G.O. (with registered Unique Disability ID No.).

Candidates from other states should submit the relevant certificate issued by their respective State Government.

Note: In the process of verification, if any malpractice or misuse is detected in the certificates — or the same is found during the course of the programme — admission will be cancelled without prior notice.

Documents to be Submitted for Admission

Candidates are required to submit all the Intermediate (10+2) original certificates and one set of photocopies at the time of admission.

Documents Required

  • Intermediate (10+2) Memorandum of Marks
  • Intermediate (10+2) Transfer Certificate
  • Intermediate (10+2) Bonafide / Conduct Certificate
  • Migration Certificate (ISC, CBSE, and Other Boards)
  • Eligibility Certificate (for candidates other than Intermediate, CBSE & ICSE Boards)
  • Salary / Income Certificate of Parents from their place of work
  • Caste Certificate from Mee Seva
  • Copy of Aadhar Card
  • Photocopy of 10th Class Marks Memorandum & Transfer Certificate
  • Photocopy of the Caste Certificate (for SC / ST & BC candidates)
  • Two Copies of Letter of Undertaking

For Catholic / Christian Students

  • Letter from the Parish Priest / Pastor
  • Income Certificate duly attested by the Parish Priest / Pastor
  • Baptism Certificate

Note: Annual Retreat and Bible Course are compulsory for all Catholic / Christian students.

For Supernumerary Seats (Original Certificates for Verification)

  • International / National / State level Certificates of Sports
  • Physically Challenged Certificate from an authorized Government doctor
  • Caste Certificate from the Mandal Revenue Officer (for SC / ST & BC candidates)

For Foreign Students / NRIs

Admissions for Foreign Nationals or Overseas Citizens are processed through the Office of International Affairs, Osmania University.

NRI candidates must submit a copy of their Passport along with the prescribed NRI Fee.

Admission for Foreign Students

  • Admissions for Foreign National Citizenship / Overseas Citizenship are processed through the Office of the International Affairs, Osmania University.
  • Students holding Foreign National Citizenship or Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) will be issued a permission letter for admission by the SFC Admission Office.
  • This permission letter must be submitted to the University Foreign Relations Office, Osmania University, which has the authority to finalize the admission.

Important Notice for UG & PG

  • In case of non-compliance with the admission policy or non-eligibility of the candidate, the Management of the Institution reserves the right to cancel the admission.
  • Choice of Course, Combination, and Second Language once opted is final.
  • Fees once paid are non-refundable. However, students who withdraw due to unavoidable reasons within 15 days from the date of admission are eligible for a 50% refund. No refund requests will be entertained thereafter.
  • Degree must be completed in 3+2 years (UG) / 2+2 years (PG).
  • Students can opt for any Certificate Course during the 3 years of study to gain extra credits.

Criteria for Second Language

Telugu must be taken as the Second Language in the degree program by candidates:

  • Who have taken Telugu as their second language in the qualifying examination.
  • Who have studied Telugu up to Class X as their first language.

For All Catholic & Christian Students

  • Bible Certificate Course is compulsory for UG students only.
  • Participation in the Annual Retreat for all three years and the Faith Formation Programme on every 2nd Saturday of the month is mandatory.
  • Participation in the Monthly Holy Mass is compulsory for all Catholic students.

SFC Wings

Each student must select one option from the SFC Wings at the time of admission.

  • All students must complete the required 60 hours in SFC Wings during their first and second years.
  • Information related to SFC Wings will be provided during an Orientation Session.

Requirements

  • NSS: 1 Camp + 40 hours of outreach program
  • NCC: 2 Camps + 40 hours of NCC activities
  • Sports: 1 Certificate Course in Sports + 30 hours of indoor games

Rules for Admission into 2nd Year on Transfer

Applicants should have been studying in a degree program in any college affiliated with Osmania University or any other University recognized by the UGC. However, no transfer is permitted from one college to another within a given district under Osmania University, except for students from Autonomous colleges.

Admission will be considered only in the III Semester of the three-year (6-semester) program, subject to the availability of vacant seats. To be eligible for admission, the applicant must have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination.

Application Requirements

A written application should be submitted along with the following documents:

  • Copy of the Memorandum of Marks of the qualifying examination.
  • Syllabus of the course completed, counter-signed by the Principal of the college.
  • A committee consisting of the Principal, Controller of Examinations, Dean Academics, and the Heads of the concerned Departments will check the parity of the course content with that of this institution.
  • In case of disparity in the course content, admission may be granted only on the condition that the applicant takes the required examination(s) in the concerned subject(s) at St. Francis College. If parity is established, the marks obtained in the previous institution will be retained.
  • If grades have been awarded, the candidate must produce equivalent marks for grades from the previous institution.

The candidates admitted will follow the examination pattern of this college.

General Rules and Regulations

Office Timings

Office Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all working days

Lunch Break: 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Rules of Office

  • Applications for issue of certificates (Transfer, Conduct, Study, Bonafide, etc.) should be addressed to the Principal.
  • Certificates will be issued after 5 working days from the date of application.
  • No certificate will be issued in less than 48 hours.
  • All fees must be paid by the notified due date.

College Timings

8:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. – PG, Arts, B.Com. Final Years, BMS, B.Voc (RM & IT), B.Sc. Physical Sciences.

10:30 a.m. to 4:10 p.m. – B.Com (I & II Years), B.Sc. Life Sciences.

Code of Conduct for Students

  • All students are answerable to the Principal, Faculty, and other College authorities for their conduct and behaviour.
  • Students must be punctual and maintain the required attendance in both theory and practical classes. Active participation in all college activities including seminars and guest lectures is mandatory.
  • Students must assemble on time for the morning prayer.
  • All students must read the notices displayed on screens, notice boards, and student apps.

Dress Code

  • The college promotes simplicity and modesty in dress to maintain a congenial academic atmosphere.
  • Permitted: Salwar Kameez or Jeans/Pants with knee-length tops.
  • Not Permitted: Sleeveless, Cold Shoulders, T-Shirts, or Tuck-ins.

Campus Regulations

  • Students must wear their SFC ID cards at all times. Entry without an ID card is not permitted.
  • Use of mobile phones inside classrooms during class hours is strictly prohibited. Charging phones on campus is not allowed.
  • Ragging in any form is a punishable offence.
  • Posting unpleasant, unacceptable, or defamatory content about the college or staff on social media will result in disciplinary action.
  • Organizing events or programs without prior permission from the Principal is strictly prohibited.
  • Four-wheelers are not allowed inside the campus or Street No.6 leading to the campus. Only two-wheelers are permitted.
  • Students with two-wheelers must register online at the beginning of the academic year for parking permission.
  • During free hours, students are expected to use the Library or Indoor Stadium. Sitting in corridors or on staircases is not permitted.

Yes, it is compulsory to register with our Online Admission System before you can submit your admission form online.

Is email address compulsory to fill online application form?

Yes, you are required to use email address to register for Online Admission.

How do I apply online?

Visit our official website, navigate to the Admissions section, click on "Apply Online", and fill in the required details and documents.

How should I pay the programme fee?

Programme fee can be paid through credit/debit card/ net banking.

Visa and Master Cards are accepted for making the payment of programme fee. Payment of fee can also be made through Net Banking.

Payment has been deducted from Credit Card/Debit Card/ my account but I have not received any confirmation.

If the payment has been deducted but you haven't received an acknowledgment, please contact the admission officer either in person or by phone. Provide complete transaction details, including the transaction number, your name, chosen programme, mobile number, and the amount paid. You may also email this information to: admission@sfc.ac.in

What information will I receive after paying the application fee, and how will it be communicated?

You will receive a confirmation message along with application reference number through email and SMS.

What is the next step after successfully submitting the form, and how do I contact the concerned person?

Once the application form is successfully submitted, it will be reviewed by the college staff. If it meets the eligibility criteria, a confirmation will be sent to your registered email address. In case of any discrepancy, you will be informed accordingly. After successful processing, the college will share further details regarding admission confirmation, programme fee payment, commencement of classes, and induction schedule.For further queries, you may contact the Help Desk.

What is the expected time frame to receive confirmation of my admission after submitting the application?

Forms are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, the time required for confirmation may vary depending on the volume of applications received. A notification will be sent via SMS and email once the admission is confirmed. We request you to regularly check your registered email and SMS messages for updates.

I have not received any email or SMS regarding my application status. What should I do?

If you haven’t received any email or SMS, please verify that your contact details are correct and check your spam folder. If you still don’t receive any update, please contact the admission help desk with your application details..

What are the eligibility criteria for UG admissions?

Eligibility requires passing a two-year intermediate exam by TGBIE or an equivalent board, including the subjects required for admission to the programme. CBSE/ICSE candidates must submit equivalency certificates. For more details, please refer to the eligibility section or contact the help desk.

Is hostel accommodation available?

Hostel facilities are currently not offered. However, there are several hostels located in and around the area for your convenience.
