The Department of Psychology organised a guest lecture titled “Unpacking All 8 of Our Senses: How our senses work against us in the case of Trauma, and How we can overcome it” for students of third-year BA (PLP, PPP, MLPSY) and second-year MSc Psychology students. The session was conducted by Mrs. Meredith Shuman, Founder and Executive Director of James Trail, USA, and a Mental Health and Trauma-Informed Care Trainer. The lecture aimed to provide insights into how the eight senses function, how trauma influences sensory experiences, and ways to understand and overcome its effects through trauma-informed perspectives.

The sessions were delivered by Dr. D. Sudheer Reddy, Scientist, and Prof. A. Satyanarayana Reddy, Shiv Nadar University, Delhi. During the visit, the students gained practical knowledge of plastic processing, polymer testing, and petrochemical product manufacturing. The visit enhanced the students' understanding of industrial applications of chemistry and bridged the gap between academic learning and industrial practice.

The event highlighted the evolving role of social media in communication while fostering learning, collaboration, and creativity.
