Overview of the Course

Applied Nutrition, Zoology and Chemistry

History Image

The Applied Nutrition, Zoology, and Chemistry program offers a strong interdisciplinary foundation connecting human nutrition, life sciences, and core chemical principles. Students gain practical expertise through food science labs, dietary assessments, community nutrition projects, and health-focused workshops, building essential skills in nutrition planning, counseling, and scientific data analysis. With a focus on animal biology, human physiology, and disease understanding, Zoology enhances knowledge of health, behavior, and biological systems, while Chemistry deepens scientific reasoning through biochemical, food-chemistry, and molecular science concepts. The curriculum emphasizes research exposure, analytical thinking, and real-world learning through conferences, hands-on projects, and academic publishing opportunities. Graduates are prepared for advanced studies such as M.Sc., B.Ed., MBA, diplomas, and Ph.D. programs and can pursue careers in nutrition and dietetics, healthcare, research, education, environmental studies, food and pharmaceutical industries, biotechnology, and government sectors. This program nurtures scientific curiosity, professional confidence, and a commitment to improving health and society through evidence-based practices.

What will you Learn?

Students learn the principles of human nutrition across the life cycle (individuals, families and communities), the role of food in health and disease, and therapeutic modifications for medical conditions.

Students gain skills in food science, food safety, quality control, preparing them to apply nutrition knowledge in real-world contexts such as community programs, hospitals, and food industry.

Zoology is a journey of discovery, exploration, and conservation. Explores animal structure, behavior, evolution, ecology, and interactions with their environment.

A chemistry degree covers core branches like Organic, Inorganic, Physical and Analytical Chemistry, providing deep theoretical knowledge and practical lab experience in areas such as qualitative and quantitative analysis, spectroscopy, thermodynamics, kinetics, and synthesis.

It also cultivates transferable skills—like problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking—that are highly valued in both scientific research and diverse professional fields.

Develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities for effective decision-making and organizational challenges in nutrition science, zoology research, and chemical studies.

Career Prospects
