Economics/Public Administration/Political Science (EPP)

The B.A. program in Economics, Public Administration, and Political Science provides students with an integrated understanding of the economy, governance, and political systems. It builds the ability to apply economic concepts to real-world issues, interpret data, and evaluate policies. Knowledge of public administration develops insights into governance, policy implementation, and leadership skills, while political science fosters critical perspectives on democracy, constitutional values, and international relations. The program nurtures analytical thinking, research and communication skills, preparing graduates for careers in civil services, policy research, NGOs, journalism, and academia, while also instilling ethical values, social responsibility, and a commitment to sustainable development.

What will you Learn?

Economic Principles, Theories and market behavior

Research methodology and Data analysis.

Administrative principles, theories, governance systems and public policy in India.

Financial and personnel administration, conflict and environment management for effective public service delivery.

History of Western Political Thought and the basic concepts and theories of International Relations.

Conflicts in contemporary societies, global political issues and a history of Indian Political Thought.

Career Prospects

  • Financial and Banking Sector – The students can Pursue Careers in investment firms, and financial institutions. More opportunities to work as financial analysts, credit analysts, or economic researchers.
  • Business and Consultation – Opportunities as management consultants, business analysts, or policy advisor. Provides a rewarding career path in Academia. Provides which requires critical problem-solving skills.
  • Public Administration Careers – Opportunities in government departments, PSUs, regulatory bodies, private organisations, and policy think tanks with roles in planning, governance, human resource management, and policy research.
  • Research and Academia – Opportunities to pursue higher studies, teaching and research positions in universities and institutes focusing on allied subjects as governance, development administration, public policy etc
  • Civil Service Examinations – The program prepares the students for civil service examinations and also makes them adequately aware of the Indian political and administrative system that is necessary for stepping into a career in civil services.
  • International Relations and Global Policy –With a robust curriculum in international relations, students are well-prepared for careers in global policy, diplomacy, and international affairs, including roles in think tanks, research institutions, and NGOs.
