Overview of the Course

Mass Communication/Literature/Psychology

History Image

The B.A. in Mass Communication, Literature, and Psychology (MLPsy) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate programme that provides students with a holistic understanding of media, human behaviour, and literary traditions. The course combines the practical skills of communication and journalism with the critical thinking of literature and the scientific insights of psychology, preparing students for diverse professional and academic pathways. Through Mass Communication, students gain training in reporting, editing, advertising, public relations, digital media, and content creation, equipping them to thrive in the dynamic media industry.

Literature Image

The Literature component nurtures creativity and analytical ability through the study of British, Indian, American, and World literature, fostering a deep appreciation of cultural narratives and critical perspectives. Psychology courses build a foundation in cognitive processes, personality theories, child psychology, abnormal psychology, and applied areas such as workplace dynamics and social behaviour, helping students understand individuals and society.

Politics Image

The curriculum emphasizes research methodology, academic writing, creative expression, and interdisciplinary problem-solving, while practical components such as photography, filmmaking, digital marketing, and psychometric testing provide hands-on experience. By integrating theory with application, the programme develops communication skills, critical analysis, social awareness, and ethical responsibility, preparing graduates for careers in media, creative industries, education, counseling support, NGOs, corporate sectors, and higher studies.
