Overview

At St. Francis College for Women with its inception in 1959 the college went on to introduce in 1962 a degree course with Botany, Zoology and Chemistry under the able guidance of Mrs. Leela Simon. The course has been instrumental in developing scientific interest amongst students and comprehends the significance of Fundamental Science in everyday life. To respect and explore plant science. To provide a holistic approach in learning plant science and provide foundation for professional development and path to all other sciences as Plants are inevitable but inimitable to sustain Life.
