Overview

The department of Computer Science was established in 1988, the year the college gained autonomy, marking the beginning of a journey towards academic excellence. The department offers interdisciplinary courses that blend computer science with other disciplines, fostering creativity and innovation in our students. As the only college in Hyderabad to offer B.Sc. Honors program in Software Engineering, the department provides students with specialized knowledge and skills to excel in the industry. The postgraduate programs in Data Science and Computer Science (AI & ML) equip students with the latest skills and knowledge to tackle complex problems and drive innovation. The department boasts state-of-the-art labs with high-speed dedicated internet connections, providing students with a conducive environment to learn and innovate under the guidance of skilled faculty. The department has a vibrant student club and magazine, providing a platform for students to explore their talents and showcase their creativity.

C@nnect Club

For many years, the Computer Science Department successfully organized a dynamic calendar of events, including workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and national fests. These activities were unified under the banner of "C@nnect," symbolizing the department's focus on Computer, Technology, and Innovation. The events consistently drew enthusiastic participation from students both within the college and from external institutions.Recognizing the need to institutionalize this successful engagement, the department formally established the "C@nnect Club" last academic year. This new interdisciplinary student organization inducted dedicated student members from various Computer Science streams as its first Office Bearers.
