California Baptist University (CBU) and St. Francis College entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2017 to establish a Summer Immersion Program focused on leadership development. The partnership was successfully renewed in 2022, continuing the commitment to cross-cultural and academic collaboration. Each year, a group of at least ten students participates in the three-week program, which emphasizes leadership training, cultural exchange, and community engagement. Participants engage in interactive workshops, group projects, and experiential learning activities designed to strengthen their leadership and interpersonal skills. In addition to academic sessions, students take part in local sightseeing, gaining a deeper appreciation of regional culture and diversity. The program fosters global understanding, teamwork, and personal growth, aligning closely with the mission of both institutions to develop globally minded and service-oriented leaders. Through this continued collaboration, students return enriched with new perspectives, ready to apply their learning within their communities and future careers.
