Overview

Deshabhashalandu Telugu lessa (Telugu is the greatest of all the languages in the country.) The Department of Telugu in St. Francis College for Women, began in 1959. The Department of Telugu is dedicated to the study and promotion of the Telugu language, literature, culture, and history. Telugu, one of the classical languages of India, is spoken predominantly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and holds a rich literary and cultural heritage.

Harivillu Club

HARIVILLU club is the Telugu club of St. Francis College for women established in year 2010. It is the literary and cultural club of Telugu. Every year the club organizes many literary and cultural activities in Telugu to inculcate and cultivate the local traditions among students. The Telugu day is celebrated every year and the club releases an annual literary magazine HRUDAYA SANDESHAM and News letter KADAMBAM.
