About

Rotaract is an international youth organization affiliated with Rotary International, dedicated to fostering leadership, professional development, and community service among young adults. Rotaract functions under the guidance of local Rotary Club while conducting its own initiatives. It provides a platform for college students to engage in fellowship, address societal needs, and develop the values of responsible citizenship and ethical leadership.

"Rotaract" stands for "Rotary in Action", although the name originally comes from a combination of "Rotary" and "Interact" (International + Action), the high school level program created by Rotary International. Prospective members are known as 'Rotaractors'. Rotaract clubs bring together people to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service. In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities.

Objectives of Rotaract:

To develop professional and leadership skills among members.
To emphasize respect for the rights of others and promote ethical standards.
To provide opportunities for personal growth and the advancement of international understanding.
To create avenues for meaningful community and international service.

Eligibility

Open to all first-year undergraduate students across all streams.

Participation Requirement

Registered members must complete 60 hours of involvement in Rotaract Club activities.
